Founder
Beth Jacobs
Beth is a Mental Health Therapist. She gained her MA Ed. from Walsh University and a BS Ed from Central Michigan University both in the USA. She is an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (reg. MBACP 597829 accred) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) (MBPsS 301324). In the past fifteen years Beth worked in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health unit of the NHS in the southern UK utilising Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and counselling young people with Autism. In 2014, she co-founded 3 Counties Counselling and Autism Assessment and acts as lead Counsellor and diagnostic Assessor. As an Accredited Autism Assessor with BeginningwithA, UK, Elizabeth is qualified to administer assessments specific to Autism/ASD.

Qualified Assessor
Melanie Bowen
Melanie holds an MSc Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology, BSc (Hons) Psychology,Certificate in Counselling. She specialises in working with Children from 2 years upwards, with a range of special educational needs such as, Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay and Social and Mental Health Needs.
Melanie has supported families through the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) process, by submitting the application and working with professionals to achieve a plan put in place to support the child. ADOS and ADI Accredited.

Consultant
Hayley Fairbairn
I have dedicated my career to the care, learning and development of children and young people, in both mainstream and SEND settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with children from 3 months old through to early adulthood and beyond.
I completed my BSc (hons) Psychology degree in 2020, having previously completed qualifications in children’s care, learning and development and children and young people’s mental health.
Alongside my work with Beth, I currently work as an Education Co-ordinator in a specialist college for young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

PDA Specialist
Donna Smith
Donna is an ELSA Support Teacher in secondary school. She has over 16 years working with children from ages 0-16.

She is currently studying to be a Speech and Language Therapist.
​
Donna has experience as the Mum of a son diagnosed with ASD and features of PDA.
​
Donna has helped many parents to navigate getting the help they need both in schools and outside including support for siblings of someone with ASD.

Clinical Assessor
Dawn Bascombe
I have developed my career and experience over the last 21 years, working with children aged 0-5.
I have gained my BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies to build upon the knowledge gained from previous Early Years qualifications. Alongside my early years career, I have a deep interest and experience with SEND and have helped families through the EHC process, including writing plans, liaising with professionals and giving support to families.
I believe that every individual should have the correct support and resources to achieve their own individual potential.

Speech and Language Therapist
Jess Powell
Jess is a Speech and Language Therapist. She qualified from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy. She holds a licence to practice with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

Jess has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for more than 15 years with people with a range of communication difficulties with a particular interest in working with individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD and learning difficulties. All of this time has been spent in the NHS. Until recently Jess was employed in the NHS working on a neurodevelopmental conditions team as part of a CAMHS team.
Jess is qualified in the use of standardised communication assessments and the use of the ADOS II for assessment of autistic spectrum conditions. She is trained in using the Qb Test for direct assessment of ADHD and the ACE (ADHD Child Evaluation).
Jess now works full time in independent practice and is a part of an NHS autism assessment pathway in Merseyside.

Speech and Language Therapist
Jo Ungi
Jo is a Highly Specialised Speech and Language Therapist. She qualified from the University of Reading in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Linguistics and Language Pathology, alongside clinical exams to qualify as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Jo is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and the Association of Speech​ and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). Jo works primarily as an independent practitioner and is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) as a data protection officer. Jo also works as a contractor for companies offering Autism Assessments, and Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Services in schools.
Jo has worked in a variety of of teams across the UK including Community Learning Disability Teams, Children and Adult Mental Health units (CAMHs and AMHs), both in and outpatients, School and Colleges, both Special Education and Mainstream, as well as Stroke and Dementia Teams.
Jo has a special interest in Neurodiversity and in recent years has specialised in working with Autism and ADHD specific services and developing her own training packages and support groups for people with Autism, ADHD, and other related social communication difficulties.
Jo is qualified to carry out ADOS –2 and the ADI-R, which are often referred to as the Gold Standard in Autism assessments. Jo can assess adults and children.
Jo is a trained PEERS practitioner (Programme for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) which is a specialist Autism social skills programme developed by UCLA (University of Los Angeles)
Jo is able to carry out communication assessments for children, including CELF-5 (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) which is a standardised assessment battery and Jo will generate a data report showing percentile scores as well as a detailed evaluation report.
Jo is based in Bournemouth and can offer assessment both online, and face to face in Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton and Salisbury.
